PROCESS

The inspiration behind this concept is the abstracted theme of cyber security. The small gaps in the logo mark serve as a nod to the space in an unlocked padlock, while also representing the “gaps” in systems where security breaches occur — The gaps that Krebs Stamos Group excels in identifying.

This design is clean yet effective. The simplicity of the typeface is tech-friendly, while the modified negative spaces create balance and movement. The characters can be broken down into many iterations for use across all web and print production platforms.

DESIGN GRAVEYARD AND SKETCHES

Here are the other designs that were presented to the client but did not get chosen. I start my design process through exploration and an analysis of what the client’s main competitors are doing. From there, I push the limits by distinguishing my client’s brand from their competitors. My goal is always to establish a design style that is one step ahead of what’s trending—while remaining timeless.

One way I do this is by using the 12 Brand Archetypes. By establishing a primary, secondary, and tertiary archetype, I am able to guide my design process and narrow down how I want the brand to look, sound, and feel.
